Obama couldn’t blame problems on the past as Ramotar does

Dear Editor,
Could Obama have kept saying to the American after four years in office people that it was Bush who messed up the country? He would have been a one-term President; in fact from the day of his inauguration he was blamed for what happened prior to swearing in.
Likewise, could Cameron holler it was Tony Blair or Gordon Brown, or better still, Putin lamenting his failures on Yeltsin? What is wrong with the Guyanese people?  In all 23 years of PPP rule, they have not owned up to any wrongdoing but want the masses to believe they have done right by them and all potential missteps are to be blamed on Burnham and the PNC.
Forbes Burnham was not perfect (none of us are) but he was an effective and visionary leader. I would further state that weakness and selfishness have prevented many who served with him from defending him at home and in the international community.
Furthermore, the killing of hundreds of black youths was not during the Burnham or PNC years but the PPP want the masses to forget it. The Phantom squad was not through the PNC years but the PPP want the people to behave like it never happened. Instead, they want to brainwash the young (who only know of the last 23 years) of how evil Burnham and the PNC were and who is responsible for its dismal performance.
Burnham is long dead; yet they are using his name to incite fear in the gullible…now theyare blaming Granger for what Burnham allegedly did. Who is taking responsibility for Anil’s conspiracy to commit murder? Who is taking responsibility for Clement’s inability to grasp that police are not killers for hire? Who is taking responsibility for Bharrat and Leslie’s association with condemned criminal Roger Khan? Who is taking responsibility for Bheri Ramsaran’s incompetence? Who is taking responsibility for Kwame’s McCoy’s continued harassment of underage boys?
Without evidence they continue to blame Burnham and the PNC for Rodney’s demise but they vehemently deny any involvement in the executions of Waddell and Crum-Ewing…they continue to plead innocence to all corrupt practices…Is it not why we are having early elections?
Why would we the people want to continue with a government that admits no wrongdoing? Shameful, or is it shameless?
The bottom line is that they are selfish, corrupt, and a racist cabal with no long term interest or vision for the masses or Guyana. How can they fix what is wrong when they don’t even want to admit that something is wrong?
This cabal cannot be allowed to continue in office if it is all the oppositions fault. Perhaps, it was the opposition which had the Commissioners, Felix, Greene and  Brummel undermined by their subordinates causing a domino effect in the force. Perhaps, it was the opposition that inflated the cost of all projects parliament rejected. Evidently, they forgot that it was the people who elected the PPP to serve them  and not the other way around.
