Slain woman’s grandmother seeks help for burial
Mary Benn, the grandmother of the young Charity mother, whose body was discovered in a clump of bushes on Tuesday morning by residents says she would be very grateful for some financial assistance towards the burial.
Quineza Benn, 27, was found dead near the Cocotal Hotel and Bar at Charity.
Benn, who is a mother of ten adult children, and aged 73, has been taking care of her granddaughter’s two young children; something she says is a strain on her.
Benn said that she still has to work hard for her daily sustenance and is appealing at this time for some financial assistance towards the burial of her granddaughter. She said that the dead woman’s mother migrated to Venezuela in search of employment many years ago and never returned. She had been caring for the now dead woman and her brother ever since.
A post mortem examination will be performed on the body tomorrow.
