Hundreds turn out for PPP/C Fun Day on State House lawns
The People’s Progressive Party Civic (PPP/C) held its annual fun day yesterday, on the lawns of State House and made for some good old family fun.

Hundreds of Guyanese turned out to be part of the fun filled event.
President Donald Ramotar and First Lady Deolatchmee Ramotar were in attendance and they welcomed patrons with hugs, kisses and photographs.
The First Lady was overwhelmed at the support the fun day has been receiving from citizens. She said that the event would usually attract a large crowd every year.
The family oriented affair saw children enjoying various rides like the merry-go-round, ferris wheel and bouncy castle.
Several patrons expressed their satisfaction at the event. Many of them said that they look forward to the event every year, since it is a great leisure activity for the family. “This is a well organized family activity, I love coming here and the atmosphere is very nice. The president is doing a very great job,” one patron said.
This annual event is held to reflect on the late President Dr. Cheddi Jagan’s dedication to the development of Guyana and its people.
