Top Brandz supports WBCA Goodwill T20 Tourney
Top Brandz through its brand Corona Extra Beer has thrown support behind the West Berbice Cricket Association (WBCA) in its Goodwill T20 tournament which is currently underway.
Bibi Ally of Top Brandz presents the trophy and cheque to WBCA PRO Abel Seetaram in the presence of Devi Henry.
Corona representative Bibi Ally yesterday presented a cheque worth $100,000 and a trophy which will be given to the winning team, to Public Relations Officer and Marketing Manager of WBCA Abel Seetaram at the Guyana Cricket Board office.
Speaking at the simple ceremony, Ally said they are pleased to be associated with the tournament and wished the teams well. “This is the company’s way of giving back to the public. Sports are very important to the development of the society and it also helps to reduce crime rate,” she added.
Devi Henry of Top Brandz stated that cricket is very important to the Guyanese people. “This tournament gives the players an opportunity to showcase their talent and we are happy to lend our support,” she said.
Seetaram thanked the entity for its backing and said happy Corona is on board stating that this is a stepping stone for greater partnership. Top Brandz is a distributor of Corona Extra, Trio Stout, Mistic and Snapple juice among other products and is situated at 40 Goedverwagting, East Coast Demerara.
The playoffs will be held on Sunday at Cotton Tree ground.
