GDA Mashramani Classic starts tonight
The Guyana Darts Association (GDA) Annual Mashramani Classic gets underway tonight 
at the Malteenoes Sports Club, Thomas Lands, commencing at 18:00hrs. Seven events are set to be played over two days; Four-Member Team competition, Mixed Triples, Mixed Doubles, Men’s and Women’s Doubles, Men’s and Women’s Singles.
Sponsors of the tournament include Guyana Oil Company (GUYOIL), Hand-in-Hand Insurance, Apex Insurance Brokers, Messrs, Peter Baker, Dudley Kirton and Bholanauth Ramdial.
GDA President Grantley Culbard in thanking the sponsors noted that the association usually celebrates Mashramani this way. He added that Darts players are being afforded the opportunity to stay sharp at their game while trying to win cash prizes and other incentives (for the highest checkout, the most 180s and the shortest game).
The events scheduled for tonight are: Team, Mixed Triples, and Mixed Doubles, while the remaining matches will be played the tomorrow night.
