EDFA/MCYS host successful Beginners Referees Course

Ministry of Culture Youth and Sport (MCYS) recently held a successful Beginners Referees Course which saw seven (7) young people’s participating.
It was the intention of the association to have the individuals assist with officiating at junior tournaments but they were informed that the Guyana Football Referees Committee is the sole authority in charge of controlling referees in Guyana.
The course was facilitated by former FIFA Referees now Instructors, Roy McArthur and Abdullah Hamid.
Those attending and successfully completing the course were Mitera Thomas, Randy Waldron, Alisha King, Jonelle Ogle, Aliyah Brewster, Brandon Cyrus and Bernard John.
