Awake, awake Caricom! The alarm bell is ringing!
Dear Editor,
Thanks to the British High Commissioner for awakening the powers that be at Caricom. They have surely been in a very deep sleep; so much so that they slept all through the trials of Guyanese being harassed at sister Caricom airports; they slept through the atrocities brought to bear on Guyanese by this corrupt Government; they slept through the non adherence to free movement of skills within Caricom states; they slept through the situation with our Law Students furthering their law studies and more.
Then suddenly they come awake to chew the head of the High Commissioner when he was actually doing a part of their job – speaking the truth and calling a spade a spade.
(Yawn). Go back to your slumber Caricom. If you have nothing to say, please do not say it so loudly next time. In any case, like our Parliamentarians, you will all continue to be handsomely paid.
