Dear Editor,
Kuru Kuru Training Centre is not the kind of training Institution as we knew it about four years ago.
One of the many reasons we say this, is because one of the students told his parent that the person who did the selection for entry to the Centre did the wrong thing i.e. take in persons with twenty-five marks out of 300 as well as students who did not even write the entry test. That is why they have problems there.
Some students have even been smoking drugs at nights and some of them can’t cope with the classroom work. There is no motor mechanic instructor and also no Refrigeration Instructor.
There is an administrator acting and also a senior Training Officer acting. The senior Training Officer acting is an Assistant Instructor. This is an insult to other instructors because you have trained teachers and UG graduates. This person is neither a trained teacher nor a UG graduate.
We would like the Ministry to get a qualified senior Training Officer and also a qualified Assistant Director of Youth. Concerned parents
