The African Cultural and Development Association (ACDA) will be hosting an Emancipation Dominoes tournament for teams from Mahaica to No. 5 village on August 24 at Menace Hang Out Bar, Calcutta Mahaicony from 13:00hrs. Entrance fee is $6,000 and at stake are trophies and medals donated by Keisha Gift Shop and ACDA.
Meanwhile, Sophia A overcame Sophia B by four runs when the ACDA held a day of sports recently at their headquarters at Thomas Lands. Sophia A batted first and posted 96-6 with Scoray Ramotar scoring 66.
Sophia B were bowled out for 92 in reply. Trevor Edwards stroked 52; Shamar Granum captured 3-16. Sophia A were again in winners’ row when they defeated Sophia West 4-2 in a football match.
