Hibiscus Team wins Bocce Competition
The curtains came down on the Senior Citizens Team Bocce Competition held on Saturday 12 July, 2014 at the National Gymnasium sponsored by the National Sports Commission. In the first game Hibiscus won by walkover which was allowed by team Buttercup.
Lilly beat Sunflower 6 to 4 in the second game.
In the final game, the two Teams were tied at the end of the first frame. However, Hibiscus went on to win over Lilly 10 to 6 at the end of the 9th frame.
Mr. George Hughes, Sports Director, Special Olympics Guyana, presented Trophies and Medals to the runner up Team, while Mr. Wilton Spencer, Sports Organizer presented, medals, winning Trophy and lien Trophy to the winning Hibiscus team.
