GOA observes ‘Int’l Olympic Day’ with Jog/Walk & 10km Team Run
In a release, the Guyana Olympic Association (G.O.A) in observance of “International Olympic Day” has organised its annual Jog/Walk & 10km Team Run scheduled to be staged on Sunday, June 22, starting at 06:00hrs (6:00 am) outside the Thomas Lands YMCA, Camp Road.
According to the release, the Jog/Walk is not a race and is open to all persons ten (10) years and older and entry is free. It further added that the 10km Team Run comprises of two (2) females and four (4) males and they must complete the course in order to obtain the points for the team. Each association/club/school can enter the maximum of two (2) teams.
The prizes for the Team run are as follows:
1st Prize – $60,000
2nd Prize – $40,000
3rd Prize – $30,000
Persons participating in this event will receive a T-Shirt and an IOC Certificate.
Completed Entry Forms should be returned to “Olympic House” 76 High Street, Kingston, no later than 16:00 hours on Wednesday June 18, 2014. No entry would be accepted for the team run after the closing date.
