A 32-year-old Charity gold miner is a patient at the Suddie Public Hospital after the car he was driving, PSS 807, collided with a flock of sheep on the Devonshire-Castle Public Road, Thursday night.
The gold miner’s car he was driving at the time of the accident.
The incident occurred around a dangerous turn at Devonshire-Castle, where many fatalities have occurred over the past years.
According to reports, the gold miner, Orlando, only name given was traveling to Charity, some time Thursday night when he collided with a flock of sheep on the road.
The accident caused the gold miner’s vehicle to veer off of the Devonshire Castle Public Road and eventually ended up in a nearby trench.
Orlando, according to eyewitness reports, was left strapped in the car, along with his wife and children, who were the other occupants in the vehicle. Someone had to prise the car apart to get the occupants out.
Further reports said the gold miner didn’t sustain any life threatening injuries.
