The Guyana Gold and Diamond Miners’ Association (GGDMA) has donated a laptop computer and printer to Mark Crawford, Chairman of Region Eight.
According to GGDMA, the initiative was in response to the situation of the office of the Regional Chairman. That official had to work with a typewriter which often malfunctioned.

The presentation was made by GGDMA’s President, Patrick Harding, during the bi-monthly membership meeting last Thursday at the association‘s North Road office.
The guest speaker at that meeting was Clinton Williams, Chairman of the Guyana Geology and Mines Commission (GGMC).
Crawford and his party, Alliance For Change, has been complaining of being sidelined by Government and starved of resources by Central Government.
AFC has control of the Region following the 2011 elections.
Earlier this week, the issue of Crawford’s situation reached the National Assembly with questions being asked whether he had any vehicle to his disposal for the Region’s work.
The National Assembly was told that Crawford had an ATV for his use.
