Shootout on Essequibo River
Police are investigating the exchange of gunfire between passengers in a speedboat which apparently targeted another that was proceeding to moor at the Supenaam stelling, Tuesday afternoon.
Reports from Supenaam state that one of the boats was transporting prominent Essequibo businessmen and was at area referred to as “Murder Bush” in the Essequibo River.
A source said one person was allegedly shot by a passenger from the boat with the businessmen. The police are on the lookout for any injured person.
