Deos grab Sanjay’s Jewellery Golf Tournament
Chatterpaul Deo and his daughter Joanne Deo took top honours in the Sanjay’s Jewellery Golf Tournament on Saturday at the Lusignan Golf Club.
The format was a pairs event where the combined gross score is subtracted by the three quarters handicaps of the players. This attracted a good turnout of some 44 players.
The Deos won with a net score of 144, while the team of Haresh Tiwari and Ravi Persaud were second with 145 and the Cummings Brothers of Andre and Roy took third spot with 146. The best individual gross score went to Mohan Dinanauth with 77, and nearest to the pin went to Alfred Mentore.
In remarks at the presentation ceremony, Vice President Dave Mohamed thanked the sponsor, Sanjay Persaud, for his support of the club which has been ongoing for several years.
