Uncle Adam and Glennie use to go to church steady in dem young days. Dem was de days when de Waterfalls paper was one time a week. When it tun daily de two of dem nah had time fuh go to church. Dem had to wuk every day till de wee hours of de morning.
If dem don’t do that nobody can get newspaper. Dem two go to church and see nuff people. Dem use to see Donald, Sam, Hoyte, Reepu, and dem other old heads.
These days dem got nuff of de young heads who does go to church steady. Brazzy de fat crook is one. Granger, Ah Kneel and Rob de Earth does still go, but not often.
Sunday gone, Ah Kneel and Rob de Earth been to church and hear a sermon. When dem go home dem lift dem wife high in de air then put she down. Was up and down, up and down.
Dem wife smile and blush. Then dem two talk to dem husband. “You really showing a lot of love today. Y’all should go to church more often.
All two woman continue to ask, “Wha really happen in church?”
Both of dem tell dem wife how de pastor seh that “when we get home we must lift all our problems to God.” Since then, Ah Kneel sleep in out of de house. Rob de Earth sleep in out, too.
Ah Kneel sue de Waterfalls paper, de boss, de heditor, down to de janitor. Dem boys want he know that dem prepare to climb court step till dem get magga from de up and down.
Dem gun get suh magga that when and if ever de judge give Uncle Adam and Glennie a jail sentence, de two of dem guh pass through de cell bars, not de door. And it look like Ah Kneel want that more than Jagdeo, Bobby and Brazzy, although dem boys don’t give dem three no rest.
Only de Creatah know where and when dem two gun get prappa rest.
