“I would like to thank Ansa McAl for initiating this Heineken Golf Cup. It will be an annual Cup. We had a great tournament and the turnout was great. It’s good to have these kind of sponsorship to connect sport with community,” Khan told those gathered.
He singled out Ansa McAl Marketing Director, Troy Cadogan for his support to the club and for continuing to add corporate value to local golf. “We appreciate Troy for all the support, which he has given the golf club,” Khan had said.
Public Relations Officer at Ansa McAl, Darshanie Yusuf, thanked everyone for coming out while stating that, “We expected great participation and I must thank you for that support. We had a few interactive games and we plan to continue in this regard,” she noted.
Yusuf recommitted sponsorship under the brand for another year and said that the intention is to make the tournament a “premier” event in Guyana. She said that Ansa McAl will continue to be among the pioneers for support in sport in Guyana. (Edison Jefford)
