Following the split of the “A” Division Community Policing Group, Division Two which runs from Eccles, East Bank Demerara to Long Creek, Soesdyke/Linden Highway held its Annual General Meeting which saw to the installation of six new executive members.
The group met on February 9 at the Diamond Secondary School under the stewardship of Deputy Commander “A” Division, Mr. Ian Amsterdam as Returning Officer and Mr. Norman McLean as observer. There were other senior police officers in attendance.
Mr. Shirab Sears was chosen as the man who will steer Division Two. He is also the Chairman of the Brickery, Supply and Land of Canaan Community Policing Group (CPG).
Mr. Kristopher Roberts of the Grove CPG was elected as the Vice Chairman while Mr. Paul McTurk of the Herstelling CPG and Mr. Sean Richman of Eccles CPG were voted as the Secretary and Treasurer respectively.
The Assistant Secretary/Treasurer is Mr. Ronald Reece of Hararuni CPG. Mr. Allan Plass of the Grove/Diamond CPG was elected as the Public Relations Officer.
At the end of the meeting, the new executive body was installed.
