I am a parent and it is affecting me
DEAR EDITOR,
People contribute to the building and destroying of a society
I would like to highlight a problem that is affecting my community. I have tried to approach many places (agencies for help) but no one seems to care. There are several youths in my village, Canal Number Two, West Bank Demerara, who are school drop outs.
They all engage in the usage of drugs. The problem is that people in the village are selling the illegal drugs to the children. If we are members of society, who are supposed to protect our children, then why are we destroying the children? If they are the future, then where are we going? Are we making our children criminals?
I wish if there is an organization or place that can help these children. Can somebody please help them? I am a parent and it is affecting me.
