67-year-old man found dead in Rupununi
Police are also investigating the death of Howard Peters, a 67-year-old man whose body was found lying on the access road to Shea Village, Deep South Rupununi in Region Nine.
Details are sketchy, but Kaieteur News understands that the man’s body bore multiple stab wounds, and that the police are therefore treating it as a murder.
This publication was unable to speak with relatives, but learnt that Peters was identified by a friend who told mortuary workers that the man had been “sporting” hours before his body was discovered. Kaieteur News will provide more details in its subsequent edition.
