Bandits snatch $17.2M from store clerk
Investigations are continuing into yet another multimillion dollar robbery. According to the police it was about 08:30hrs yesterday when Rajiv Singh, 21, a clerk attached to a city store, was about to enter a Commercial Bank on Avenue of the Republic.
The police said that Singh was carrying a carton containing $17.2M, when he was held up by two men armed with handguns. The perpetrators took away the carton with the money and escaped.
Singh was taken into to custody to help with investigations.
