Venezuela – The design of new mechanisms of integration stands today in the
Venezuela President, Nicolas Maduro, and President Donald Ramotar at the summit
agenda of blocks such as ALBA and Petrocaribe, in order to consolidate positions between countries with common interests in favour of people.
The II Extraordinary Summit of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America (ALBA) and the energy mechanism, held in Venezuela, left a toll significant progress towards the establishment of an Exclusive Economic Zone between the two initiatives.
The delegations of the 20 countries participating in the meeting went beyond recommending the extension of the project to the Southern Common Market (Mercosur).
For President of Venezuela, Nicolas Maduro, a block of this type would join 23 states in Latin America and the Caribbean, with 408 million people. (Prensa Latina)
