A man who wounded another with a knife during a heated argument has been remanded to jail. The man, Clive Marks 20, called ‘Black Boy’ or ‘Peppa eye’ of 821 Glasgow Housing Scheme, East Bank Berbice, was not required to plea to the indictable charge of attempt murder; when he appeared before Magistrate Sherdel Isaacs-Marcus on Friday in the New Amsterdam Magistrate’s court.
Marks, is accused of attempting to kill Mark LaFleur of Heatburn Village, East Bank Berbice on November, 18, last.
Police Prosecutor Sergeant Phillip Sherriff, told the court that about 18:00 hrs on November 18th, the two men were on a bridge at Heatburn when an argument ensued.
Marks, is alleged to have taken out a knife and stabbed La Fleur causing injuries to his left arm and left side rib. La Fleur is alleged to have collapsed was picked up and rushed to the New Amsterdam Hospital, where he was admitted and remains a patient in the intensive Care Unit (ICU).
The police were informed and Marks was subsequently arrested and charged.
Bail was refused and he was remanded to jail until December 13.
