Correction/Apology
The lead headline of yesterday’s (October 29) edition of Kaieteur News – ‘Radio Licence court case…Govt. asks for more time to file defence’- was incorrect.
The matters were called before Chief Justice (ag), Ian Chang, on Monday. An Attorney-at-Law for the plaintiffs, the Guyana Media Proprietors Association, asked the Court for more time to file an Affidavit in Reply to the Government’s Affidavit in Answer.
However, it was incorrectly stated that it was Government asking for more time.
Kaieteur News sincerely apologizes for this erroneous and misleading front page headline and regrets any embarrassment or inconvenience caused.
