Passengers were forced to wait on the “Kanawan” ferry which arrived two hours later than schedule.
A number of passengers, who attempted to board the Chinese “Kanawan”, which was scheduled to depart the Supenaam Ferry Stelling, yesterday for Supenaam to Parika were forced to wait an extra two hours.
The news caused some to disembark and to use the faster mode of transportation, the speed boat. Some were refunded. The Kanawan was originally scheduled to depart Supenaam at 5:00 hours.
No proper explanation was given to passengers for the two-hour delay.
