Adrian Roberts, 29, one of four American citizens detained at the Cheddi Jagan International Airport, last year, succumbed at the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation yesterday evening.
Roberts, who was granted bail, suffered a worsened medical complication and was taken to the hospital sometime last week. After his condition deteriorated, he was transferred to the facility’s Intensive Care Unit where he later succumbed.
Yesterday, at the hospital, relatives were hesitant to speak to the media. They however said that they are making arrangements to transport the body to the United States.
On October 12, 2012 four persons were en-route to America via a Delta flight when they were pulled in for a routine search. That search allegedly unearthed a quantity of drugs.
