The Guyana Squash Association (GSA) National Junior team that will be headed to the Caribbean Junior Squash Championships in Trinidad & Tobago, July 22–28 was yesterday the recipients of sponsorship under Smalta.
The brand honored its promise and commitment to continue its support for the GSA and its young players. Marketing Director at ANSA McAl Trading Ltd, Troy Cadogan, who presented the cheque, said that he was very happy to assist the team because of their consistent performances.

He added that Smalta’s sponsorship will go towards assisting with airfare, entrance fees and uniforms for the team.
Team Manager, Garfield Wiltshire said that Nyron Joseph and Akeila Wiltshire were named in the team, which will represent Guyana at these Championships.
“Nyron and Akeila are outstanding players. Nyron won his second consecutive individual Caribbean title last year in his first year in the Under 17 category and Akeila is one of the top contenders for the Under-17 title this year having won her first Caribbean title in the Under 15 category two years ago when the tournament was held in Guyana,” Wiltshire said.
Carl Ince, who is a Level Four Elite Coach and National Coach, will be accompanying the junior players to the Championships. Guyana is the defending champions in the Girls and Overall Team competitions.
