Three persons have been arrested in relation to the robbery which occurred early Monday in the vicinity of Cowan and Water Streets, Kingston and left 72-year-old Victor Da Silva dead.

During the robbery, the gunmen escaped with over $8M in cash. They also shot businessman Cecil Albert Gajadhar to his right side face. He will be discharged from the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation today.
Yesterday, Police Public Relations Officer Ivelaw Whittaker confirmed that three men have been arrested but he could not say whether the men were detained at the Princess International Hotel Monday evening.
Whittaker assured the public that investigators are “working on some other leads”.
Meanwhile, a port mortem performed yesterday on the body of Victor Da Silva of Covent Garden, East Bank Demerara by Pathologist Dr. Nehaul Singh gave the cause of death as multiple gunshot injuries.
Victor Da Silva would be laid to rest on Saturday.
