AYSC elects new Captains
The Achievers Youth & Sports Club (AY&SC) of West Berbice recently held a General Members Meeting at the entity’s D’Edward Village, West Coast Berbice Office where they elected Captains for their Under-15, 17, 19 and 23 teams.
Titus Webster will lead the Under-15 side with Travis Carmichael as his Vice; Randy Wade will be in charge of the Under-17 & 19 teams ably assisted by Darius Nedd while at the helm of the Under-23 team is Sherwyn McPherson, Ruan Johnson is his deputy.
A comprehensive review of the club’s activities for the past year where they looked at the achievements and failures was also done.
The AY&SC was founded 15 years ago on the 16th of July, 1997. With its 16th anniversary looming, the club will be hosting a fund raising take-away lunch at the Water Gate Disco on Saturday June 29. A T20 cricket match will also be held at Lovely Lass.
Elected as the new Assistant Treasurer was Sherwyn McPherson. Members were encouraged to always strive for discipline while reaching out to other community members.
