Yohan Greenidge, 32, was rushed to the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC) at around 11:00hrs yesterday, after being shot in the right hand. A family member claims that the Guyhoc Park, Georgetown resident was shot during a scuffle with his older brother.
Kaieteur News understands that Greenidge was at his brother’s house in Roxanne Burnham Gardens when a fight started between the man and his wife.
Yohan Greenidge reportedly stopped the fight, making the man angry. The brother purportedly stormed out of his home, only to return about 30 minutes later, with a gun, shooting his younger sibling.
The relative told this newspaper that the alleged perpetrator is yet to be found.
The matter was reported to the police, and investigations are ongoing. Yohan Greenidge was discharged from the GPHC last evening.
