A lone gunman held up three delivery truck employees and robbed them of over $300,000 cash and their cellular phones. The incident was described as a daring midday robbery yesterday at Enmore, East Coast Demerara.
Reports from the police state that the three employees- a driver/salesman and two assistants— were taking orders at a shop when the bandit pulled up and held them at gunpoint.
He proceeded to relieve them of the articles before fleeing the scene and then jumping into a passenger mini bus to escape.
An alarm was raised and a police patrol subsequently responded and intercepted the mini bus a few miles away but by then the suspect had already disembarked.
