Toddler injured after falling from veranda
The veranda from which the toddler fell
A toddler playing on a veranda landed on a concrete surface after falling several feet from a two-storey house at Lot ‘A’ Public Road, Timehri yesterday.
The child who is almost two years old was identified as Serika Singh. She was taken to a private hospital in the city by her mother and grandmother.
Reports reveal that the enthusiastic child opened the veranda door and was playing there unattended. She may have climbed onto the railing of the veranda and fell over.
“Her mom had many dreams before of her falling over the veranda, but no one ever believed they would ever come through,” one relative said.
