Dear Editor,
I have noticed in your newspaper that President Donald Ramotar has said that he has no confidence in the Speaker of Parliament, Mr. Raphael Trotman.
Guyanese have no confidence in a President who after a year in office cannot make any difference in the sad state of affairs in Guyana.
This is manifested by the following high incidents of corruption in Government circles, high crime rate, poor motivation reputation, corruption at NCN, lack of accountability by Ministers of the Government, appointment of a one-party Cabinet where the government is a minority one and a host of other infractions.
Every day, Guyanese at home and abroad, are embarrassed by the inability of a government led by Mr, Donald Ramotar to advance the interest of all Guyanese and not just their cronies.
Speaker Trotman has been doing a remarkable job at seeking compromise and encouraging dialogue in the house.
The problem with the government is that it is unable to bully their way in parliament.
The situation has changed. Aubrey James
