– crunch time as finals approach

Pouderoyen will tackle Goed Fortuin in the first of several matches when the action in the tournamernt to commemorate the 78th birth anniversary of Mayor Hamilton Green continues at the Georgetown Football Club (GFC) ground starting at 19:00hrs today.
In all, eight exciting matches are billed for the night including Stewardville up against Sara Lodge, Uitvlugt takes on Eveleary while Den Amstel comes up against Kuru Kururu. Tucville will also play Alberttown moments before West Ruimveldt Estate tackles Grove.
Tiger Bay will then oppose Newtown Kitty while Sophia will cap the night when they oppose Kingston.
Consequently, the qualifying teams will progress to the next round on Friday November 30 for action in the quarter finals, the semi-finals and finals.
The winners cart off $200,000 and a trophy while the runners up win half that amount, also with a trophy. Ricks and Sari has also donated several food hampers to be distributed to members of the winning team while Retired Colonel, Laurie London has donated a set of footballs for the entire tournament. Admission price is $500. Thje organizer is Lennox Arthur.
