A reward is being offered to anyone having knowledge of a bag containing a missing Brazilian passport and Dredge license in the name of Isonaslop Dos Santos.
Dos Santos is a Brazilian dredge owner who works at Puruni, Upper Bartica in Region Seven.
Kaieteur News understands that the man went shopping on Regent Street yesterday morning when he misplaced his bag with his documents and some other personal items inside.
Leroy Vanderhyden, one his associates, explained that the businessman knows very little English. Dos Santos, he said, concluded his shopping and asked the store attendants to call a taxi for him.
The taxi was a long while in coming so the Brazilian went into a “blue road taxi.” He later discovered that one of the bags had gone missing. It contained the man’s CPF (NIS) card, his work permit, his dredge license, passport and other personal items some of which he purchased for his wife.
The man who had planned to spend three days in the city to transact business may have to extend his time to recover his missing documents. Anyone with knowledge of the bag is asked to contact telephone number -601-2231.
Dos Santos said that he is offering a reward.
