Wife charged with fisherman’s murder
The wife of the 23-year-old fisherman, Sam Lall who died from a stab wound to his chest was yesterday remanded to jail after being charged with his murder.
Hilda Beaton, who reportedly had a seven-year relationship with Lall, appeared at the Sparendaam Magistrate’s Court before Magistrate Alex Moore.
It is alleged that on October 2, last, at Lot 631 Block 8, Mon Repos, East Coast Demerara (ECD), she stabbed Lall to death.
She was not required to plead to the offence. She was remanded to prison until November 9, next.
