The man accused of hurling Ganesh Rattan from a Mahaica, East Coast Demerara pavilion has been charged with murder.
Morris Kowlesar, the accused, was remanded after appearing at the Vigilance Magistrate’s Court before Magistrate Nyasha Hatmin on Thursday.
He was represented by Attorney-at-law Sandel Kissoon.
Kowlesar is scheduled to return to court on March 27.
On Sunday, last, 33-year-old Ganesh Rattan was hurled to his death from the Strathshaven Playground pavilion, allegedly during an argument with Kowlesar.
Reports are that Rattan, Kowlesar and other men were seated at the top of the pavilion located at one end of the Ground when the incident occurred.
Rattan is said to be survived by his estranged wife and four children.
