Teen drops dead during Berbice Mash
Fourteen year old Keisha Thompson was just beginning to enjoy herself at the annual Berbice float parade in New Amsterdam yesterday when she began feeling unwell.
Not long after the girl, who hails from Angoy’s Avenue, New Amsterdam, collapsed on the roadway, surprising relatives and friends who were with her at the time.
She was rushed to the New Amsterdam Hospital, but she was pronounced dead on arrival.
A post mortem examination is likely to be performed today.
