The tenth Canal Senior Citizens Christmas Party was recently held at the Kawall Primary School.
Over 450 Senior Citizens were treated with meals and entertainment, food hampers, and monetary donations.
The citizens were loud in their praise to Mr. Harrinarine (Brother Harry) and his team who had been organizing these events with the support of donors from Canada and the USA.
The group also presented medals to the Canal No.2 under 14 Cricketers for their outstanding performances over the year.
National Grade Six Assessment Examination students were all rewarded with the Paul`s Importer/Distributor Trophies and Cash Incentives.
Top performer, Anjalee Ramnauth with 527 marks who landed a place at Queens College received the best prize trophy and incentives. Anjeli Surujpaul (Bishops High School), Ruben Sukraj (St. Stanislaus College) Darshan Cecil (Bishops High School), Yasod Persaud (St. Stanislaus College) and Sasha Singh (St Roses ) also received trophies and incentives.
