Volleyball action fixed for Berbice today

Volleyball competition continues in Berbice today when the Berbice Volleyball Association (BVA) stages the Annual Rick Sakawat one Day interclub Volleyball competition. The activity will be played at the Guysuco Training Centre, Port Mourant court beginning at 09:30 hrs.
All of the top teams in the Ancient County are expected to participate including Rollers of New Amsterdam , Falcons of East Canje, Albion Community Centre with two teams, Guysuco Training Centre / Port Mourant (GTC/PM) with two teams, Port Mourant Jaguars also with two teams and the lone Female team, The Sunshine Girls. Trophies and other incentives will be presented to the winners and other outstanding performers at the end of the competition including the top three teams, the MVP, Best Spiker, Best Setter, Best Server, Best Block, Best defender and the most outstanding Libero on show. The tournament is being held in collaboration with Relatives of the late Rick Sakawat who played the game in the past.
