A 14-year-old Anna Regina Multilateral School student, who stole one of the Government’s notebooks, was advised by the resident magistrate to undertake provisional Supervision.
The fourth former who was charged with simple larceny and who pleaded guilty, appeared at the Suddie Magistrate’s Court before Magistrate Leron Daly.
According to reports, the One Laptop per Family programme was being executed at the Anna Regina Multilateral School on Tuesday last, when one of the boxes that secured the gadget went missing.
Immediately, the supervisor for the programme informed senior officials at the School.
A search was subsequently conducted within the covered area where the computers were assembled. The police were called in and checks were also conducted among the students.
The computer was eventually found in the student’s bag. He had apparently taken the gadget from the box.
