Hotel death due to heart failure
A post mortem performed on 42-year-old Ramesh Deokarand, a/k Wileye, of Anna Regina New Housing Scheme, found that he died from cardiac failure.
Deokarand collapsed last Thursday while he was a guest at a hotel at Cotton Field, Essequibo Coast, in the company of a woman.
Reports are that the hire car driver on December 8, last, accompanied by a female booked a room at the hotel.
The following morning police were alerted to the fact that he had collapsed. The female companion subsequently fled.
Meanwhile, Deokarand’s wife was informed that her husband had taken ill. Moments after the wife came to his aid, Deokarand died before receiving medical attention.
The hire car driver and father of four, who recently re-migrated to Guyana, had undergone a heart bypass surgery.
Deokarand was cremated on Wednesday.
