Rampant corruption at Grove Police Station

Dear Sir/Madam,
I am kindly asking you to please publish this letter so that the authority and general public can be aware of what residents on the East Bank of Demerara are facing at the hands of the Police Officers of Grove Police Station.
I am a resident of Craig and I traverse the East Bank Public Road at least twice a day. Over the past couple of weeks it has become extremely exhausting and tiresome when passing the Grove area.
The police officers in this area have become so blatant in their actions of corruptions. They would stop drivers for petty offences, take them to the Grove Police Station and charge them after which place then on bail.
I have personal experience with this. I was shocked and mortified at this practice and made enquiry for leniency only to be told I can sign over the bail receipt to the officer.
I have spoken to a few of my friends about my experiences and have learnt that they too had similar encounters with these said officers.
I would like someone in authority to come and check the station bail records and determine how many of these were cancelled and how many were placed in front of the court since they are being signed over to these police officers.
Since the placement of Officer Boyce at Grove Police Station all the other officers there are doing the same. It is very embarrassing and disgusting the way these officers treat taxpayers; the corruption that is going in at the particular station is ridiculous.
Should there be any disbelieve on what I am saying, please feel free to come to Grove and observe these police officers in their acts, this happened on an everyday basis.
