Chelsea and Kyle Edghill dominated the junior doubles contests yesterday at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall when the 2011 National Table Tennis Championships continued. The duo teamed up and was part of most of the winning teams in the competition.

The Edghills won the Mixed Doubles competition after defeating Priscilla Greaves and Stephan Corlette in straight sets 11-7, 11-5 and 12-10 to set the stage for a successful sojourn on the third day of the event.
Kyle then teamed up with Malteenoes club-mate, Jeremy Singh to win the Boys U-13 Doubles competition 12-10, 11-5, 10-12 and 11-6 against Shemar Britton and Scott Garraway.
Jamaali Homer and Salanas Jackman won the Girls U-13 Doubles 11-9, 6-11, 6-11 and 2-11 against Priscilla Greaves and Nevaeh Clarkston.
Edghill and Homer then took the U-13 Mixed Doubles title with an 11-4, 7-11, 11-3, 5-11 and 11-6 win against Elishaba Johnson and Clarkston. Earlier in the day, Chelsea had clinched the U-15 Girls Singles title after topping Greaves and Homer in the round-robin playoff.
In one of the more intense finals of the evening, Britton and Edghill dismissed Ryan Narine and Kevon Corbin 11-9, 7-11, 7-11, 11-4 and 11-9. Up to Kaieteur Sport press time, competition in the U-18 doubles competitions had commenced.
