Dear Editor,
It’s funny reading how those Guyanese living abroad write to condemn voters in Guyana. These people – the same ones who ran away to escape PNC’s dictatorial rule – now love to shout about ethnic voting.
Guyanese who do not choose the PNC (in the old guise or new) are doing with their vote what those who live abroad chose to do with their feet.
So, those of you who live in America and Canada, before you condemn those living in Guyana, first ask yourself – why did I run away? And if you honestly answer that question, then you will hopefully understand why people vote the way they do in Guyana. Justin de Freitas
