Banks 5k Run postponed to next year
The inaugural Banks DIH 5km Run that was set for next weekend has been postponed to a date to be set in January. A release from the Athletic Association of Guyana (AAG) yesterday stated that the beverage company believes that the political climate is not conducive for such an event.
“The new date will be communicated shortly; this postponement is due to the fact that the sponsors, Banks DIH feels the state of the country is not conducive for the staging of the Run,” the press release stated yesterday.
