Dear Editor,
Twice I have written and once again I pen this letter for a positive response from the government on the continued neglect of road repair works in Section Q Turkeyen. Road building exercise is undergoing across the country, even in areas where time seemed to have forgotten. Why not in an area in one of the most prominent places on the East Coast, neighbouring Caricom Secretariat and the University of Guyana? Is it not a part of Guyana? Don’t our votes count?
The roads are in such a deplorable state, it has become a shame, living here of being tax paying citizens of this country.
It is really unfair that we have to suffer because of one political critic, even though he does not speak for us and we do not share his sentiments.
If the Government does not recognize the well-being, security and comfort of the citizens of this country, then who should? Ms. M. Singh
