MMC Security worker loses one toe
At just seven minutes after ten yesterday morning, one of Mazda Mining Company (MMC) 
Security workers lost his toe after his gun accidentally “went off” in a store on Regent Street, Georgetown.
The victim, Marlon Meredith, 19, of East Cost Demerara worked as a Patrol Officer at MMC for 5 months.
According to Meredith, he was on duty when the tragic accident occurred. He further noted that he was in a store when he lost coverage of his gun and it went off “accidentally”, he was then rushed at the Georgetown Public Hospital where he received treatment.
