Will someone do something about this latrine?
Dear Editor,
I am a Resident of sub lot A of 138 Middle Road La Penitence. My problem is that I have been suffering for months from the unpleasant smell of a latrine constructed on sub lot B 138 Middle Road La Penitence.
This latrine is being used by the workers who are presently living in and working on the building. The situation got so bad that I am unable to open my windows, the flies are everywhere. My disgust led me to the Building Inspection Office and they sent an officer, Mr. Wills, who I suppose is responsible for those matters.
Mr. Wills said it is out of his league and he sent me to the Health Environmental Department, South Road where one Miss Persis was sent to the area. She said that the latrine was poorly constructed and that was the reason why I am suffering. She too left me with no help. This latrine has no door, no roof; everything is just there exposed. Please do use your imagination.
Presently, I am suffering from headaches, I am not sure if this has anything to do with the unpleasant smell from the latrine. I have tenants who are also suffering from this unpleasant and embarrassing smell, and the flies. I will be appreciative if someone cares.
