GABA fundraising luncheon set for today
The Guyana Amateur Boxing Association (GABA) will be holding a fundraising luncheon at the National Gymnasium today from 1:00pm.
Patrons have been promised a sumptuous meal at a cost $1,000. Beverages will also be on sale and the general public is encouraged to come out and support the association.
The event has been organised to help the association raise money to send a team of boxers to the Ronald Wilson Memorial tournament in Barbados from November 30 to December 5.
Over $1M is needed to send the team to this event.
The association also has several other international events prior to the London Olympics next year. The general public and corporate Guyana is invited to support the association.
